Who is the greatest guitarist of all time

Who is the greatest guitarist of all time .

JIMMI HENDRIX

Depends what you want.... for technique, speed, feeling and flair then on balance Stevie Ray Vaughan was about the top (beats Hendrix but only just and probably due to the better technology available to him). For pure sensitivity, probably Richard Thompson or Nils Lofgren (massively under rated as a guitarist). For virtuouso technique, there's a guy called Arlen Roth who taught every flash heavy rock guitarist everything they know while still keeping a little for himself. For pure rhythm either Keith Richards or Mike Campbell from Tom Petty's band. For mind numbingly fast strummed chording, the two guitarists from the Wedding Present take a lot of beating. For folk style, Bert Jansch. For indie-rock probably Johnny Marr or Bernard Butler but I have to say.......BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG?????????? Much as I like Green Day, the guitar technique is... well... primitive.
